Keyword Research Update and Ramblings

Keyword Research ThanksThe KeywordSEM.com blog has been live for about six weeks now, and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the new subscribers that have climbed on board during that time - without a readership, a blog is nothing, your support is greatly appreciated.

This week saw the conclusion to my six part series on Comprehensive Keyword Research for Bloggers and Niche Marketers, for those who may have joined the conversation a little more recently, here is the complete list of articles:

Part 1: Defining your Keyword Research Goals - What are your Keyword Research objectives?

Part 2: 8 Tools for Keyword Research that Should be a Part of your Arsenal - An overview of the online tools I use for Keyword Analysis.

Part 3: Query Types - Figuring out Keyword Intent - Do you know what the goal of the searcher is? Can you customise your content to give them what they’re looking for?

Part 4: Keyword Themes and Grouping - Several ways to organise your list of keywords into usable and actionable groups.

Part 5: 5 Keyword Research Tips to Finding the Questions your Readers want Answered - Questions from your potential readers provide an excellent source of insight into your market and a nearly endless supply of blog post ideas.

Part 6: Putting your Keyword Research Plan into Practice - Bringing it all together and how to get the most use from your Keyword Analysis.

I hope you enjoyed the series - it raised a few questions in places and only touched on some side topics that I’ll expand on in the not too distant future, but the overall process it follows should give you a good idea about how I go about analysing keywords from a blogging perspective.

Coming up in the next few days I have an in depth look at Keyword Discovery - quite possibly the best keyword research tool on the market, I dig right into its capabilities for researching different geographical markets and  how it can be used to thoroughly research a niche, so keep an eye out for that - if you’ve never really used it much before, then I promise it’ll open your eyes to some great possibilities.

Thanks again to all the new readers, feel free to tell your friends about KeywordSEM.com and don’t forget to join in on the conversation and comment, I’m looking forward to what the community can add.
